City Trip

What I found interesting with the city trip was how we went to the art gallery and saw chairs on the roof.
We went to the Art gallery the Museum and had a long walk around the city.

I learnt about the art gallery and what's inside it and learnt a bit more about the city.

AVAILLL

This is my AVAILLL booklet, AVAILLL is really fun because you get to watch movies and do reading at the same time and you got to know the last word of the subtitle and write the word down in the booklet.

CARE Term 3

WHAT?

My goal is to develop the consistent use of our CARE Values towards all the people I interact with and for myself .

Intergrated Learining Presentation

Winter Sport Term 3/4

In winter we did winter sport every Friday for the first 2 sessions we played soccer then we played other games after that. For the last 7 sessions we did tag then after we played tag we did passion project for 30min it was so fun.

Art attack

WHAT?

For art attack my goal was to produce a piece of art related to our local landscape using either paint, water colour or pastel.

With Mrs Marsh I learned about foreground, midground and background in landscapes.

With Mr Forman I learned about colour and complementary colours.

With Mr Rule I looked at the different landscape features of Canterbury and Banks Peninsula.

SO WHAT?

I learned about background and foreground

I included a two trees, a path, a house, grass and the sky

I used the paint brush on paint that still needed to dry

I enjoyed being silly with the paint brush and painting the newspaper and combining different colours

I was proud of all the all the stuff that stands out on my painting

I thought it was difficult to wait for the paint to dry.

NOW WHAT?

I did like the paint option.

My handwriting goal is to flick letters correctly

My spelling goal is to complete list

My writing goal -Identify the structure and features of a moment in time time/descriptive writing

-to plan our moment in time using our senses

My reading goal WALT Understand what the author has written in a paragraph to help us make a sensible prediction what will happen in the next paragraph

My blog goals are  to  add more detail to my blog posts

                            to proofread and edit my blog post before publishing

                            to use a variety of ways to show my learning (text, photos/images, video)

Reflecting on My first Four weeks

In week 4 it was cultural week

We went to learn about Israel, Japan, China

In Israel we learned about all the lakes and there was a red sea and there was a clear lake

In China we used chop sticks to pick up lollies

Statistical Investigation 2017

In year 5 we had to do a statistical investigation I used google forms so people could submit there answers and it would get sent straight to me. I sent my statistical investigation to the whole hub and the question was do you like technology or sport better? I wanted to know so I could see who likes Technology or sport better. 55% said sport 36% said technology and sport won

Music with Mr McCullum

Dance 2017

A hip routine

Te Reo Term 1

In week 10 we learnt about a marae, we learnt how to welcome people and we sang twinkle twinkle little star to welcome people. We got split into half ,some people would welcome them in and the other half would walk in. We were there for half an hour.

Keeping Ourselves Safe

I'm Learning to make safe decisions.


I'm learning this because I want to learn how to be safe on the internet because I go on everyday.


An example of a safe decision is when I see a virus I'll shut the lid and show someone then they can fix it.

Multicultural Week 2017

I enjoyed Multicultural Week because we got to learn about Israel, Russia, Paris and Japan. In Israel we learnt about the dead sea and the dead sea heals people
